Wright on Senior Bowl Watch List

MOBILE, Ala. -- Missouri State running back Jacardia Wright (Sr., Decatur, Ill.) has been named to the Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List, the organization announced Wednesday (Aug. 21).

Wright was a second-team All-MVFC selection in 2023 and an MVFC All-Newcomer Team honoree in 2022. A year ago, he ranked fifth in the MVFC and 46th nationally with 69.6 rushing yards per game, averaging 4.7 yards per game and finishing with 147 attempts for 696 yards and 6 touchdowns. He was also rewarded with 2024 Preseason All-MVFC Team laurels.

Wright is one of 16 Missouri Valley Football Conference players on this year's Senior Bowl Watch List with eight different Valley schools represented in that number. All told, 81 FCS players are also included in this year's list.

This year's 12th annual list is comprised of an all-time record 859 prospects. This total number is up significantly from past years due to the new addition of specialists and underclassmen, as well as the inclusion of many fifth and sixth-year seniors opting to use their extra Covid year of eligibility. The Reese's Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and the first stage in the NFL Draft process. The longest continual-running all-star game has taken place in Mobile, Alabama the past 75 years. More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, and over 1100 media members from around the country were credentialed this year. This past April, the game produced 110 total picks, representing 43 percent of the entire NFL draft.

Missouri State opens its 2024 campaign at Montana on Aug. 31 with its home opener slated for Saturday, Sept. 14 against Lindenwood at Plaster Stadium (6 p.m.). Tickets for the Lindenwood game and all home games are available by calling (417) 836-7678 or visiting MissouriStateBears.com/tickets.
